PKD and HCM free cattery

My name is Elisabeth Tilly Skarp, and my passion for cats started in the early '70s. At the time, I had a black half persian cat that accidently ran away. Lots of black cats were found, but none of them was my cat. After a few months she came back, and by that time I had come to a decision: I wanted an extraordinary type of cat. A breed that stood out from the crowd.
In 1972 I bought my first persian. His name was Björkeby's Akilles, a.k.a. Knarren. The breeder also signed us up for a cat show in Borås. Akilles got Excellent 1, and I thought it was the most fun I've ever experienced! Shortly after this, I bought my second persian. A female this time, and her name was Björkeby's Bianca Dot. In 1973 I also applied for the breeder name Chushinguras, which got approved. The first kittens after Bianca and Akilles was born in 1974, and later on Bianca was also mating with the brittish import Dawinda's Moonlight Mist.
A few years later I felt that it was time to buy another male. I bought a big blue persian named Perzanownow's Pan-Owski. This was in 1977, and Pan-Owski won almost every cat show he attended. When he was castrated in the late '80s he was the father of 450 registered offsprings - all of them robust cats with thick coats. It was Pan-Owski and the male norwegian import Creme Bambino af Miklagaard that really helped me to become successful as a breeder.
In the early '90s my big interest for horses took over. I no longer had enough time for the cat breeding, and my precious cats were getting old. During ten years I was away from the cat breeding, but in year 2000 I felt like it was time for a new start! I bought Hasselliden's Black Rabanne and Hasselliden's Tilly, both of them really nice exotics. Rabanne and Tillan have had many beautiful and successful offsprings so far, and I'm glad that I found my way back to what I'm so passionate about - my favourite breeds; persian and exotic!
